The first edition of lifeathon named "LIFEATHON – a Socio-Technical Hackathon” was organized as a bridging between academia and societal problems. The Advisory panel consisted of Doctorate holders, Class C Scientists, Chief Officers of various renowned companies, from all over India. From 16th January 2019 to 25th of January, 2019, the team of lifeathon collected almost 25 problems from different walks of life. There were over 20 team registrations. The best solution for each of the problem statements were funded through this event. Each team was continuously monitored and mentored for a period of 3 months within which they developed the prototype. It was then handed over to the respective beneficiaries during the valedictory function of LIFEATHON which was held on 10th May 2019.
